This makes her series especially compelling because even characters who do not "star" in a particular book are a very rich part of them. You get to know them book after book, and suddenly, they get to star in their own installment.Radiant Surrender is *that* book, the one you have been waiting for, the characters you have been dying to see step into the forefront of a story. Crest and Jessie, you knew they were going to be lovers eventually but how it was going to happen was the question.
Well, thank you Ryland for matchmaking, even if you didn't think it was needed. Arch enemy Ryland, aka brother to Taryn's half sister, set Jessie up for a lifetime in prison because the FBI and the CIA, The NSA, POTUS, and plenty of others are in bed with each other. They aren't the only ones with strange bedfellows but things get heated up when Jessie's parents are found to be traitors. Crest isn't as in control of his world as normal.
Wedding, HEA, and plenty more drama rtf o surround the dark Crest.
I loved the espionage, 21st century style, the exploration of Jessica and Gavin and the new twist on what is called kink. Gavin isn't going to let a little thing like almost dying stop him from making good on his promises...red hot promises.
Hot, fun, a bit dark in a satisfying way.

Ruined series for me. Great books until this one. Male lead in this one was a cold sexist jerk. Would not even give one star if that was an option. It was borderline abusive. Also safe, sane & consensual, if you are having trouble breathing, and he doesn't notice or care, how is that safe? If he tells you with a device in your mouth that when he reaches the back of your throat you better swallow or you won't like the outcome, how is that sane? With a device in mouth, hands tied behind back, and no alternative way given to safe word, how is that consensual? The love story between these two was built up in the previous five books. What a let down. There was no love in this. Their was a story of espionage but his arrogants over shadowed the whole book. I won't read another. A shame because until this book series was great.
I waited and waited for Crest and Jessie to get their story. I was so excited until I realized where the plot was headed. The action and suspense parts of the story were spot on, but the romance wasn't for me. Crest was wishy washy and always jerking Jessie's emotions around. When it came to the sexual aspects, I expected BDSM since its the nature of the series, but this bordered on abusive to me. Yes, I realize she had a safe word and he would have stopped, but she was too in love with him to have ever asked. He treated her like a little girl instead of a woman. I was not interested in that dynamic at all. I really wanted more for them.
Gavin. I finally got my hands on him! I have loved and hated him from him the start. He is a protector, a guardian for those that he loves. He's ruthless in his pursuit to see justice served. I've been tortured with each book in the CSA series by glimpses into his mind and heart regarding Jessie. I just wish he would have told his mind to shut the hell up and listen to his heart sooner. I know they needed their journey, and damn, Kennedy took them on one! With each epilogue I was starving for their story. I needed it! When Gavin's need to protect and possess Jessie surged to the surface, it was nothing short of explosive! His high handed alpha tendencies had my heart skipping beats. Jessie doesn't just hand herself over to him. She's strong and believes with everything that she is,that she deserves to be happy, to be loved. She's loved Gavin forever, and now he has to prove that he can love her with his whole heart while keeping her safe. Kennedy has given us, yet again, another action packed book full of spy's, gun fire, and taking down the bad guys! Radiant Surrender is solid. It's full of heat, love, and righting wrongs. Does Ryland finally fall? Well you'll have to read this most fabulous book by a fabulous author to find out! You need the CSA series in your life. You need Gavin. I'll let you have him...for a bit.
